The Yijing is one of civilization’s most ancient wisdom texts, one that has been at the center of Chinese thought for millenia. Rather than discussing divination, which is how most of us know the text, Dan will be presenting a unique analysis of the sequence of the sixty-four hexagrams that reveals the text to be a chronicle of how a good human society —what he terms “Enlightened Society—comes to be. The model for Enlightened Society is a natural Earthly ecology that integrates Heaven and Earth, and one that qualifies leaders based on their wisdom and compassion.

Dan will present an interactive journey through this wise, poetic, and highly structured text.
